Thursday Evening Bike Rides

Friends and members of Good Times Ski Club join fellow outdoor enthusiasts from Warren and Youngstown Ski Clubs for group rides on local trails every Thursday evening, April through October, weather permitting.

We meet up at 5:45 p.m. and start riding at 6:00, generally riding 16 to 20 miles along beautiful, paved bike trails. Following the ride we meet at a local restaurant for refreshments and comradery.

During April, all rides take place along the Metro Parks Trail.  We meet at the Kirk Road Trailhead and ride either north or south from that point.

Locations for rides May through September alternate between four or five local bike trails, depending on the number of Thursdays that month.  We  ride the Western Reserve Greenway Trail in Champion, the Stavich Trail in Lowellville, the Metro Parks Trail in Austintown, the Little Beaver Creek Greenway Trail in Leetonia, and the Mill Creek Park Hike/Bike Trail. More information about the individual trails can be found at their websites, with meet-up locations in parenthesis following trail name:

Metro Parks Bike Trail (Kirk Road Trailhead)

Western Reserve Greenway (Route 305 Sunside Trailhead)

Stavich Trail (Lowellville High School near baseball fields)

Little Beaver Creek Greenway (Trailhead off of RT 344 just South of Leetonia)

Mill Creek Park Golf & Newport Hike/Bike Trails (Golf Course Parking Lot on West Golf Drive off of US 224)  The trail is #14 on this map link.

We also ride one Saturday each month at a location outside the local area.  These rides are followed by refreshments at a local establishment.
